Why Swift

Accounting data deserves more than a one-size-fits-all approach.

Swift grew from real accounting conversion work: understanding the source, agreeing the Xero result and working through the cases where the standard path does not fit. JournalFlow applies the same practical approach to recurring Xero data entry.

Show Swift the real situation

Conversions and JournalFlow are scoped around the source data and the Xero result you actually need.

Conversion experience came first. JournalFlow grew from it.

Swift's conversion work started with real client migrations inside an accounting firm. As the work expanded, so did the range of source systems, cleanup decisions and difficult conversion cases that needed practical answers.

01

Real client conversions

The starting point was moving historical accounting data into Xero and checking that the new organization made sense as a working accounting file.

02

Harder conversion problems

That work grew to include multi-currency, account cleanup, tracking changes, unusual source systems, difficult data and Xero-to-Xero moves where a standard migration path was not enough.

Recurring work after the move

JournalFlow applies the same practical approach to recurring work, turning invoices, reports and spreadsheets into the Xero records the business needs. Swift sets up, tests and supports the automation.

Review first. Then make the work repeatable.

Swift does not treat every source as interchangeable. The real files and the expected Xero result are reviewed first, so accounting judgment defines the result before technology makes the agreed work more repeatable.

Conversions start with the real source.

Swift looks at the source system or available reports, the history required, and any cleanup or special handling before confirming what is practical and scoping the conversion.

JournalFlow starts with the expected Xero result.

The result is agreed and tested before recurring work becomes routine. If required information is later missing or the source no longer fits the agreed setup, the work can stop for attention rather than guessing.

JournalFlow is managed by Swift. Swift sets up, tests and supports the recurring work, while customers keep using the reports, documents or spreadsheets they already have. They do not need to become the automation expert.

Previous conversion experience: Swift has completed conversion work involving Sage, QuickBooks, Acumatica, Adagio, Sage MIP, Dynacom and Xero itself. Each project still needs to be reviewed individually; previous experience with a system does not mean every version, file or data set follows the same conversion path.
