When the standard path does not fit

Complex & multi-currency conversions to Xero.

Some conversions need more investigation before the right way to move the data is clear. Swift reviews the difficult parts first and builds the conversion around what your project actually needs.

Multi-currency conversions need a closer look.

Swift has completed several multi-currency conversions into Xero. Because the details vary by source system, currencies, history and how the source handled exchange differences, each project is reviewed before the approach is confirmed.

  • Multiple source currencies
  • Historical transactions
  • Exchange differences
  • The currencies you need after the move

What can make a conversion more complex?

The exact work depends on the source and the result you need after the move.

Difficult history

Older files may contain years of changes, inconsistent account use or large adjustments that need to be understood before they are carried forward.

Unusual source systems or data

A source without a standard migration route may still be workable when usable reports, exports, backups or other source data are available.

Structure changes

A complex conversion can include agreed changes to the chart of accounts and tracking. Useful distinctions in departments, locations or old account codes can sometimes become tracking even when the old accounts themselves are combined or retired.

Need to start using the new organization before all of the history is ready? In some projects, Swift can set up the agreed accounts, contacts and starting information and establish a cut-off date so current work can begin while older history is still being prepared or cleaned up.

Tell Swift what makes the conversion unusual.

Share the source, currencies, history, data issues and the result you need after the move. Swift can then confirm what is practical before the scope and quote are confirmed.
